History and Rules of Track

The first athlete to win the original Olympic games was in 776 B.C. and his name was Coroebus. The original distance of the track was 193m.  In 394 AD the Olympics ended. That was until the 19th century in England when someone thought it would be a pretty good idea if they started the Olympics. In 1864 there was a meeting if track should be an Olympic event. In 1896 it was officially made an Olympic sport.  Now a days it is 26 miles because there was a soldier that ran nonstop 25 miles to say they won the war and dropped dead right after he said they won. After that they added on another mile and made it an Olympic event.  The rules of the game are to stay in your lane and try to beat the other runners.
