Pepper
Narrative
My dog is a Dalmatian.
Her full name is Lady Pepper Bandit or just Pepper. We call her Pep for
short. The day we got Pepper she was about 5--6 months old. She is
the runt of her litter. We asked the breeder where we got her if he could
check her out because the dog we had before was Pepper's sister and she
died. We wanted to make sure she was healthy. Just to be on the safe side,
the breeder gave her some kind of special medicine.
We've had Pepper for 8
years now. Last year she almost died because she had a disease that almost
killed her. The disease would not let her have puppies. The vet had to
spade her because if she was bred one more time she might have died. Pepper
likes to smile, play catch, tug-a-war, and fight with me. Of course
she always wins because of her teeth and claws.
Heredity
My dog Lady Pepper
Bandit is the daughter who comes from two champion families. Her mother
is named June Bug Sugar and her father's name is Spoon River MacBoy. Both
of her parents are champions for their breed of dogs. She is a purebred
Dalmatian.

The Dalmatian is a medium
size dog. The size range is 19 to 24 inches at the shoulder. When
it is on all four legs it is at the knees of an adult person. Its weight

of properly, and is healthy, it can live for 15 to 16 years. The average
life span is between 11 to 13 years. The Dalmatian is a good mother for
her puppies. She will take care of them for a long time. A full grown
