Cocoa

Narrative

We got home from school. My mother came to us yelling. She had found a present for my father. (It was father's day weekend.) We all gathered around her, and said, "WHAT !!!!" She was looking at a newspaper. There was a lady whose dog had baby dogs. We all agreed to get one. My mom called the lady while my brother, my sister, and I went up into our rooms. We got our piggy banks and dumped out all of our stuff. My mom went up to get her ton of change and when we put it all together, we had enough.

We got in the car and started on our way. Half an hour later we were in the town. My mom called the lady to say we were in the town. She said a man was looking at the last dog, so my mom drove quickly. When we got there the last dog was still there. We paid the lady, thanked her, and went home. When my dad got home he was curious as to why we got a dog. We named him Cocoa.

Heredity

I don't know much about my dog except that he is a French poodle and that Germany used them for water fowl.  He is suppose to like water but he doesn't. His nose is usually wet, but when he is asleep, or ready to take a nap his nose is dry. He has a fluffy coat, and a very wet tongue.

History and Geographic Background

The toy poodle is the smallest poodle. Their liter size is 2 to 5 pups. Cocoa was in a litter of 4. Their height is usually 10 inches or smaller. They weigh between 4 and 7 pounds. The colors they come in are black, brown, and white. They usually are loyal, sociable, happy, and have a good temperament. Poodles first originated in France. France and Germany used them for retrievers of water fowl, so they should like water. ( My dog hates the water.)
